You've made it past the first two steps in the pixel installation process and it's time for you to test the pixel. See below for details on how to do this!
After clicking on "I'm Done Installing" from Step 2, you will be brought to "Step 3" in the installation process - Testing Your Pixel. To test your pixel, click on "I'm Ready To Test," which puts the pixel into test mode. Once in test mode, you're going to head over to your website and complete a test purchase. Doing this while in test mode will populate any data that is firing from the confirmation page back to SocialLadder.
If you receive a message that states there is "No data detected yet...," please make sure you complete your test purchase prior to clicking that you're ready to test and verify the data. After you complete the test purchase, click on "Refresh." If you receive a message after testing that states "We've detected data - please confirm it...", head over to the "DATA COLLECTION" tab located next to "INSTALLATION" to confirm.
Once you click into the "DATA COLLECTION" tab, you will see data populating into this tab from the test purchase you made, and any other purchases that may have come through after you placed the pixel. Check all of the parameters - "Date," "Transaction ID," "Value," "Units," and "Promo Code" (if applicable), to make sure that all the data is pulling correctly. In the case below, all of the data is pulling correctly as it relates to a purchase. If the data was incorrect, the date may populate in the Transaction ID field, or the value may populate at $0.00 instead of the correct price. Crosscheck the details of your ticket or product details to these fields. When all of the data from the test purchase appears correct, click on “Make This Connection Live.”
Your connection is now live and the pixel is firing successfully! Once there are new transactions, they will populate here. Make sure to click on “Refresh” so that any new data shows.
