Survey challenges are challenges that prompt a user with a question, to which there are multiple choices. Unlike a Quiz challenge, these challenges prompt the user with a question that is a matter of opinion, they have no correct answer. Users receive points for any answer they select.
Survey Challenge Overview
Survey challenges are often not worth as many points as other challenges that require posts on social media, distributing physical promotions, etc. They are very useful for gathering data from your users and getting feedback as to what they want out of your brand. (ex. “What Artist Do You Like the Most on This Year’s Lineup?”) Survey challenges can also be very useful as a small challenge to publish during a lull when you want to drum up user engagement.
How to Create a Survey Challenge
To create a Survey challenge, click the blue Create button at the top of the Challenges screen.
Select the Survey option in the challenge creation menu.
The first field is the Challenge Title field. Fill this in with the name of the challenge as users will see it in-app. In most cases, the challenge title would be the question you are asking for the survey.
Fill in the Start and End Dates & Times in their respective fields to set the duration you would like the challenge to run for.
In the Points field, fill in the amount of points you would like to give each user for completing this challenge.
Under the Points field, you will see Survey Options written in blue. Enter the available survey responses here. In the field that says Option, click and type the option you would like. If you would like to add more than 2 choices, click the blue ADD button above the option fields. Use the trash can icon to the right of any option to remove it.
Under the options fields, you will see the Challenge Image. It defaults to a stock photo, which can be replaced with the Upload Image button directly underneath it.
In the Call to Action field, you can write any additional instructions for your users. It may be worthwhile to restate the question in the Call to Action, or to provide some additional context for the question.
When all of these fields are filled in, you can click the Publish button in the top right corner of the screen to publish your challenge out to your users!
