Connecting your Facebook brand page to your SocialLadder account unlocks crucial functionality for your Facebook Engagement challenges, along with even more possibilities for programs on certain pricing packages. Read on to learn more about how to connect your brand page, as well as all of the benefits of doing so!
Connecting Your Brand Page
Programs that originated from the Eventbrite or Universe ambassador program extensions already connected a Facebook brand page during the program setup by default. If you wish to change this connected page, you can always head back to the SETUP tab on your event’s ambassador program extension.
All other programs will need to connect their brand page via the Admin Portal with the following steps:
1. Make sure you are logged into your Facebook account on your browser, and that this Facebook account is an Admin of the brand page in question.
2. Head to the Settings tab in the Admin Web Portal. 3. Press CONNECT under Facebook Brand Page.
4. In the ensuing Facebook window, select and continue with your desired Facebook profile, then select the desired brand page belonging to that profile.
Make sure to select YES for all of the requested permissions on the following tab.
5. Return to the Settings tab after establishing the connection to make sure that the name of the page is appearing and that the button now reads DISCONNECT.
That’s it! Your brand page is now connected.

Why Should I Connect My Brand Page?
The most basic benefit to connecting your brand page involves unlocking the Commenting and Tagging features on Facebook Engagement challenges. When there is no Facebook brand page connected (or the Facebook post does not belong to the connected page), the commenting and tagging features will be locked.
When the post does belong to the connected page, however, you will be able to require ambassadors to comment and even tag a specified amount of friends in the comments in order to complete the challenge.
In addition to the commenting feature, challenges will begin appearing in the SUGGESTED portion of the Challenges tab. These are convenient ready-made challenges automatically generated from your Facebook posts that are immediately available for you to review, tweak, and publish to your ambassadors.
Programs on certain pricing packages can get even more value out of a connected Facebook brand page! For one, those suggested challenges above can be modified on a template level to get more useful suggested challenges. In addition, those templates can be set up with hashtags such that Facebook posts will automatically generate and publish challenges, all without any input on the Admin Portal!
