One of the best ways to move the needle on your program’s performance is to increase the incentives available for your users and their network. Read on to find out more about how to improve your program’s performance in general, as well as some targeted strategies to increase referrals.
Increased Incentives for General Performance The first and most immediate way to improve the general performance of your program is by modifying the reward structure. Adding exciting new rewards or dropping the points required to redeem existing rewards is a great way to get users excited about the program. Announce changes to your reward structurewith a Feed and//or Notification to ensure that users are aware of the change and that it translates to increased performance.
Another way to go about this is by putting a temporary boost on challenge point awards, such as offering a week of double points. This can be a very effective strategy for programs nearing an event. Again, you should make sure that your users are notified of the point boost with a Feed running for the duration of the point boost period.
Please note that this must be done manually by revising your published challenges; consider restricting this to specific longer-running challenges to limit the necessary input on your end.
Another item to note for point boosts on challenges is that Invite challenges cannot be edited in the Admin Web Portal. Please contact your Customer Success Specialist if you’d like to edit those challenges!
Giveaways and contests are another great way to boost general engagement. For example, you could announce that you’ll be giving away a meet & greet // bottle service reward to the top-scoring user over the next month. Doing so will bolster overall participation with increased incentive while also creating some friendly competition between users. To find the top scoring user in your area, simply click on the Ambassadors tab. The default order of ambassadors is by score, and the top scoring ambassador will be listed first, along with their score as shown below:
Increased Incentives for Selling Performance The strategies listed above are great for improving general program performance, but many organizers will be specifically focused on generating more referrals. The strategies below are good for this, but are only available for specific pricing packages. If you’d like to implement these strategies, reach out to your Customer Success Specialist to learn more!
Boosting referral points is a great way to offer a direct increase in incentive for your users. Normally, referral challenges will award 10 points per dollar; try having a double-point week where this is bumped up to 20. Users will be more aggressive in going after referrals during this period.
Increasing or adding discounts and perks is another great way to improve performance. This adds incentive for your user’s network rather than your users themselves. You can try boosting your offered discount by 20% or adding in an extra perk such as merch credit for tickets purchased through your users.
For both of these strategies and any other you might employ, make sure that your users are aware of what’s going on! Use feeds, notifications, and any other communication channels you have available to let your users know about these promotions.
Tips & Tricks:
Be sure all of your users are aware of the timeline. Use any communications channels available, including feeds, notifications, Facebook groups, or email lists. You can also create a sense of urgency and use phrases like “Time is running out!” or “One week only!” on feeds and notifications.
