All content published through the Admin Web Portal is timed according to the timezone set on your user profile. If your timezone is set incorrectly, your challenges, feeds, and notifications can deviate significantly from the time at which you were expecting to publish them. User profiles default to UTC, so setting up your timezone on your user profile is important for ensuring that all of your content is publishing when you want it to be published. How to Set Your User Timezone
Time zones are set for individual portal users, rather than for entire programs. You can edit your portal user’s timezone by heading to your Settings tab. The first page that appears here will be My Account, where you can edit your user timezone.
Click the Change Time Zone dropdown to select the desired timezone for your specific user account. You’ll receive a message in the top right corner confirming the selection upon adjustment.
Additional Notes on Timezone The timing of all content that is published through the portal will be determined based on the timezone set on your user profile along with the content in question. For example, if your user is set to Eastern Standard Time, setting a challenge publication for 9:00 A.M. will publish the challenge universally at that time, meaning that Pacific Standard Time app users will receive the challenge at 6:00 A.M. their time.
If it makes your portal experience more convenient, you may want to set your portal user timezone to the timezone occupied by the majority of your program. For example, some portal users may be operating their programs remotely, sometimes even from a different country. If you want to save yourself the headache of converting Chicago time to Australian time and back again, you can set your portal user to the timezone occupied by your users.
